Police search for suspect at golf course

HIGHLAND HILLS, Ohio - A man held a gun to an employee?s head during a bank robbery in Shaker Heights on Tuesday.

The robbery happened shortly before 1 p.m. at the PNC Bank on Chagrin Boulevard. The Cleveland office of the FBI said the robber jumped over the counter and robbed several tellers.

He even placed his gun to the head of at least one employee and said he would kill the workers, according to the FBI. The suspect fled with a black bag containing the stolen cash.

Not long after, Shaker Heights and Beachwood police were searching the Highland Park Golf Course, which is about a mile from the bank. Police said the golf course was evacuated as they looked for a bank robbery suspect using police K-9s. They even asked people to avoid the area.

Police and the FBI have not said the two incidents are connected.
