Deputy Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been appointed Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy.
In a ministerial reshuffle announced this morning it was confirmed that Albanese he would replace Stephen Conroy who resigned last week following the leadership spill.
Albanese will also retain the?portfolios of transport and infrastructure.
According to the Australian Financial Review Albanese has been tasked by Kevin Rudd with prosecuting the case for Labor?s NBN policy.
